Prayer Shawl Ministry and Dorcas Circle

"Shawls ... made for centuries universal and embracing, symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving, God.
They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, mother, hug, shelter and beautify.
Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to fly above their troubles..."

With love and prayer, we knit or crochet prayer shawls
creating items reaching out to those in need of comfort and solace, or in celebration and joy, praying into every item during their creation.

Our ministry is an outreach that has included chemo caps, twiddle muffs for Alzheimer’s patients, hats and scarves for those in need, prayer shawls, lapghans, and more.

Handmade with love and prayer, then blessed by our Pastor, the gift is given to the recipient. All the shawls and lapghans are accompanied by a card from St. Paul’s along with laundering instructions, words of comfort and a prayer.

We welcome everyone to join us in creating the handmade gifts.

Would you like to join us or know someone in need of a handmade comfort gift? Please contact the office at 419.691.9400 or stpaulsoregon@gmail.com

Unfortunately, we cannot honor requests for specific colors.
